Thanks to the joint efforts of the Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) and the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (ABIF) towards the use of the Electronic Pledge Registry (REP), introduced in July of this year by both institutions (attached is a copy), the registration of Electronic Pledge instructions has shown a significant increase, reaching record levels and a 35% growth.

This increase is due not only to an improved speed, but also to the opportunity for cost savings that this new procedure entails, as shown in the following table:
