Digital Innovation Open Challenge in Chile
Today the "AUNA Open Challenge" tournament created by AUNA, the first consortium in Latin America comprised of the Santiago Stock Exchange, GTD, and DCV, was launched.
Today, the "AUNA Open Challenge" tournament was launched with the presentation of one of the founders of AUNA. The tournament seeks to set challenges and create opportunities in blockchain technology to generate new business models and collaboration between companies.
Natural or legal persons with a functional prototype or an end solution to the challenges set may compete for the 10,000 USD prize.
Jaime Pradenas, Head of Blockchain of the Santiago Stock Exchange, said, "we are very pleased to host this tournament not only for the partners of AUNA, but for a larger ecosystem of companies in Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador."
Similarly, Fernando Gana, General Manager of GTD, added, "we want to promote an ecosystem for technology companies to change processes and build a better value offer in the digital world."
The tournament started its first calling and registration stage, where those interested in participating must present their proposals' technical documentation and accredit the basic requirements. Next, the best 12 proposals will be selected by a qualified and expert jury to then select the winning proposal.
Claudio Calderón, Head of Strategic Projects of Depósito Central de Valores (DCV), also mentioned that "blockchain has a high disruptive potential and the ability to generate new business models and improve the current processes, which made us decide to host this tournament."
