Auna Open Challenge: An Opportunity for Startups and Potential Blockchain-Based Innovative Solutions

The initiative aims to set challenges and provide opportunities in blockchain technology to generate new business models and collaboration among different companies.

 

Auna, the first consortium in Latin America that has a financial ecosystem for different companies to create and access blockchain-based solutions, presents with its founding companies, the Santiago Stock Exchange, GTD Chile, and Depósito Central de Valores (DCV), the "Auna Open Challenge," whose purpose is to set challenges and provide new opportunities for local and international startups. This challenge will take place as a tournament. The winner will obtain a prize of USD 10,000 and the option to create a pilot program for the selected proposal with actual clients to market and expand their business to the following countries: Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. Natural or legal persons with a functional prototype or a final solution may participate.

The challenges are (i) digital identity, (ii) disbursements and expediting procedures, (iii) improvements for insurance companies, and (iv) an open challenge considering that blockchain allows creating new ways of collaborating between companies and ecosystems-based models.

The following are the stages of the tournament:

  • The event will take place on August 2, 2022, and will be streamed live through the channel of the Santiago Stock Exchange.
  • The applications for the tournament will be available at: https://www.gtd.cl/innovagtd between August 3 and September 9, 2022.
  • Semifinal and Final: A "Pitch Day" and a "Demo Day" will take place where the jury will select a proposal. The companies that wish to provide their functional proposals through the Auna platform may do so.
  • Awards The tournament will be closed, and the winner will be announced on November 16, 2022.
