Distribution of shares SM CHILE S.A.

Dear Client:

The Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) informs that according to what was agreed at the Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting of SM CHILE S.A., under liquidation, held on March 28th, the shares held in Banco de Chile will be distributed. This event is to be held on Thursday, June 6th, 2019. The shareholders registered in the Registry of Shareholders of SM CHILE at midnight, Friday, May 31st, 2019 will be entitled to this distribution. Accordingly, the distribution of the shares will be made according to the following proportions:

• 3.38337826970 shares of BANCO CHILE, for each share held by the shareholders SM of CHILE regarding share series A, B and D at the close of May 31st, 2019.
• 1 share of BANCO CHILE, for each share held by the shareholders SM of CHILE regarding share series E at the close of May 31st, 2019.

The new shares will be shown on that day, as indicated below:

• In the position accounts, for those who maintain their shares in DCV’s depository accounts.
• In the registry of shareholders of Banco de Chile, for those who maintain their shares directly in the bank’s registry.

The operations in CN condition on the stock exchanges on May 30th and 31st and registered in the CCLV, will be settled on June 3rd and 4th, respectively. The brokers will have to agree the delivery of the corresponding shares of BANCO CHILE, as of Thursday, June 6th, 2019.

The stock exchange will cancel SM CHILE S.A.’s registration, under liquidation, and all its share series, at the start of Monday, June 3rd, 2019. The preceding according to SM CHILE’s request and the Handbook on Rights and Obligations of Issuers.
