DCV Promotes Cyber-Awareness in their Collaborators

Cybersecurity is a way to protect information assets addressing threats to
the digitally processed, stored, and transferred information
through interconnected information systems.

"People are the most important link in your company's cybersecurity chain."  This is one of Depósito Central de Valores’ motto. The task of providing security, both to our collaborators and the market in general, is distributed among three strategic areas in our Company: IT & Cybersecurity, Risk, and People Management. The latter works systematically to develop a "cyber-awareness culture" in each person who works at DCV, both in-house and externally.

"The role of DCV's collaborators is vital to preserving our Company's cybersecurity.  It is our responsibility to be aware of any suspicious emails that may be a threat to our organization," says Erika Barrios, head of Organizational Development and Collaborator Experience. Thus, People Management is responsible for shaping beliefs, habits, and behaviors, informing, creating awareness, educating, and monitoring people's behavior in cybersecurity matters. "This cyber-awareness culture allows protecting our organization and collaborators; ensuring the market that we are working protecting the information in our Company," she adds.

DCV acknowledges that information security is a necessary attribute for its operation and is committed to - and assigns a high priority - protecting information assets by establishing a series of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines that help preserve confidentiality integrity and availability of information.  

Being a cyber-secure company, given the strategic role that DCV has in the operation of the financial market, is vital. Due to the above, DCV operates with international standards, such as the ISO 27.001 certification and the Information Security Management System (ISMS), which provides more trust to our clients regarding the use we give to their information, how we protect it, and the quality of the processes and procedures in place to safe keep it.
