kbcra mujer finanzas

Security is one of the Main Pillars of
Depósito Central de Valores (DCV)

A strategic and critical success factor of Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) is security. And in a context where technologies play an increasingly vital role, cybersecurity is key for an institution like ours.

As a company, we understand that part of our success lies in developing solutions that can guarantee security in the operation of services and the assets held in custody for our clients.

This is why DCV acknowledges information security as a necessary attribute in offering its services, both nationally and internationally. To achieve this goal, we have set up a series of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines that contribute to preserving confidentiality, integrity, and the availability of information.

The Company has an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that has a re-certification in international standard ISO 27001.

At an internal level, DCV works on this issue through different groups, areas, and leaders:

  • Security Committee: Comprised of members of senior management who are constantly checking and approving information security policies.
IT Security Group: Comprised of the Company’s executives, whose work contributes to the organization’s optimum, sufficient, and effective performance of the information security management system.
  • Cybersecurity Area: Exclusively dedicated to managing security on the DCV platform and principally devoted to ensuring the proper functioning and access to the Company’s infrastructure. To address any requirements and possible information security incidents and conduct research on new developments, analyze trends and risks presented in security, among others.
  • Business Continuity and Information Security Official: A person who is 100% dedicated to implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the ISMS and issuing, updating, and ensuring the communication of internal policies and information security guidelines, among others.

All of this could not be possible without the strong commitment of our more than 240 collaborators, who understand that cybersecurity and information security is a task that concerns all of us. The role of the DCV team is vital, and it is our duty to be cautious with the correct use of the tools we have available such as emails, websites, etc. Also, to be on the look for any suspicious emails or inform about any unusual activities on the network or on all devices is the responsibility of all of us at DCV. This is how we can contribute to offering a secure service to our clients.
