DCV Evolution-Release

DCVe Today No. 6 Free of Payment Movements (depositor and its investors), Incremental Regular Deposit for Issuers and Response File Formats.

Dear Depositors,

Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) informs that in the “DCVe Today” Newsletter, we will be reporting the changes, benefits, recommendations, and any relevant topics related to the operation of the new DCVe Platform with which we have already become familiar in the 2021 General Training Plan.

The first topic to inform has to do with the following:

  • Archives. Consider only those that present a change in the DCVe Platform, as detailed below:

1

Free of Payment Movements Between the Accounts of a Depositor and its Investors

These are registered as transfers in the DCV web application.

  • Regarding files, instead of reporting transactions as transfers (TD), these must be reported as reallocations (TC). Otherwise, such transactions will not be processed in the DCVe Platform.

  • The movements, between a depositor’s own accounts and the accounts that it manages for their nominee segregated investors, must be considered as reallocations and not as transfers. This, regardless of the interface being used.

Incremental Regular Deposit for Issuers

For regular and incremental issuances in the current DCV web application, DCV registers all the denominations associated with the certificates reported by issuers through deposit files, whether these denominations were previously reported for the corresponding instrument.

  • Suppose issuers decide to define new denominations that were not used to deposit a certain type of instrument. In that case, they must report them to DCV before delivering deposit files in the current DCV Web Application.

  • For regular and incremental instruments, the DCVe Platform will validate that the denominations associated with the certificates reported by issuers through deposit files have been previously reported for the instrument being deposited. If such denomination does not exist, the deposit will not be processed.

Response Files Formats

In the current DCV web Application, for every imported file, the system may generate one of the following response files:

  • Format error
  • Business error
  • Up to 3 response files may be received in the DCVe Platform.
    • Successful response file
    • Format error response file
    • Business error response file

General:

  • The format error file contains a review of the structure of all the file’s registries and fields. All errors will be informed.
  • The business errors file reports the first business error detected in the file for each transaction, and if there is more than one error, it will not be informed.

Please see the User Guides available at DCV’s website - DCVe Project: Base and response file protocol format.

We are getting closer to the change that will streamline the DCV services platform, providing a modern and improved user experience.

We would like to thank you for your commitment to the DCVe project, and we invite you to stay tuned to the information that will be emailed to you and posted on DCV’s website, under the DCV Evolution Menu, in the Release section.
