Enrique Marshall Opens the DCV Annual Discussions Cycle

The Chair of the Capital Market Advisory Board of the Ministry of Finance talked about the challenges of this public-private entity whose goal is for the financial industry to actively promote the country's economic development and social progress.

 

The first annual discussions cycle led by Guillermo Tagle, Chairman of DCV's Board of Directors, and Rodrigo Roblero, General Manager, took place at the offices of Depósito Central de Valores (DCV). 

Marshall analyzed the main challenges of the capital market together with a dozen guests with relevant positions in the industry.

The Advisory Board is a board of the Ministry of Finance comprised of 24 members with outstanding careers, including academicians and professionals. Its purpose is to institutionalize the dialog and public-private interaction on the financial market's development strategy to become an active promoter of economic development and social progress in Chile.

Enrique Marshall said that the financial system plays a vital role in a modern economy. "The capital market has an incidence on our economic growth. And it is because it increases its efficiency, contributes to the stability of the economy, and promotes the ability of savings and investment.

"For us, at DCV, it is very important to promote instances of reflection and discussion in such challenging times," added Guillermo Tagle, Chair of the Board of Directors.

"Currently, the Chilean capital market is facing several challenges. And with Depósito Central de Valores being a relevant player in the system, it is essential to have public-private cooperation opportunities. We protect our stakeholders' trust and are here to support the efforts and initiatives to make this capital market more solid and deep," said Rodrigo Roblero.
