Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) was invited to participate in the Women in Finance Round Table (MEF). The activity is organized by the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity, and it aims to increase the participation of women in the financial industry at all levels (general, first line, and boards of directors) and in all areas, promoting the inclusion of policies that foster work balance and equal opportunities.

The initiative contemplates three lines of work: Transparent data collection on gender diversity in the financial industry, diversifying the participation of women in the different areas of the financial sector, and an increase in the percentage of women in leadership positions in the financial industry.

The launching event took place last week where Javier Jara Traub, Legal and Corporate Affairs Manager, attended representing DCV. The next step is to continue forming three workgroups that will analyze these issues in depth. A best practices guideline is expected to be issued in December.

The group of companies invited to the activity is comprised by: Banco Santander, Banco Chile, Scotiabank, BLK, JP Morgan, Itau, Provida AFP, Asociación Gremial de Administradoras de Fondos de Pensiones (AAFP), Asociación de Aseguradores de Chile A.G. (AACH), Bolsa de Santiago, AFM, Asociación Chilena Administradora de Fondos de Inversión (ACAFI), BEC, BTG Pactual, Ameris, Deloitte, HMC, Principal, FinteChile, Moneda, and DCV.
