DCV obtained second place in the Infrastructure Companies category in the 2020 Most Innovative Companies Ranking

The Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) obtained second place in the Infrastructure Companies Category in the 2020 Most Innovative Companies Ranking of the ESE Business School.

The Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) obtained the second place in the Infrastructure Companies category in the 2020 Most Innovative Companies Ranking of the ESE Business School. The strong commitment to innovation and technology has marked DCV’s roadmap for a couple of years. This new approach has been evidenced, for example, in the transformation of its technological infrastructure and the creation of a new business management area.

Regarding its technological infrastructure, today the DCV Evolution project is in full swing in partnership with  Nasdaq, which is the provider of the new system that will house the core of DCV’s business: the custody of securities and the settlement of market transactions. This new platform will raise security standards and provide improved service.

Additionally, in 2018 the commercial and new businesses management area was created, with a special focus on the development of new products and services that will imply an extension of DCV’s activities beyond its traditional business. This year, 2020, this management area was transferred to the legal and corporate affairs management, thus, creating the strategic business studies area.

This constant search responds to the need to analyze new businesses. Accordingly, it represents a new challenge that DCV has wanted to take on. It regards exploring activities that supplement the line of business of the company, and that can drive new technological infrastructures or new developments in the digital world.

Likewise, and as proof of this focus on innovation, DCV created a new affiliate: DCV Asesorías y Servicios, which will allow us to address in a better way the constant evolution of the financial market and the different services that can potentially be offered to clients.

Finally, DCV and the ESE Business School recently signed an alliance that will permit them to continue studying different topics of interest to both institutions, one of them being new technologies and innovations.
