ONE OF THE ACTIONS OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY THAT WE TAKE ON AS DCV IS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR SURROUNDINGS, WHICH WE ADDRESS THROUGH CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING.
The Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) many years ago decided to implement actions whose focus was social assistance, but only two years ago the social responsibility challenge was added along with the Corporate Volunteering Program (for the promotion of systematic and responsible actions with the community).
The creation of the program seeks to promote and channel the solidarity of the Company and our employees through activities that contribute to the sustainable development of communities, vulnerable groups and surroundings. Although DCV has carried out actions with the community since its creation, this initiative was formalized in 2017.
Within the program there have been several campaigns such as: “Un kilo de sonrisas” with the Fundación Santa Clara (2018), “Regalos de Navidad” with the Fundación Esperanza (2018), “Postula tu Proyecto Social” with the Fundación Santa Clara and Hogar Esperanza (2018), “Construcción Plaza del Parque los Sueños” in the district of Quilicura (2017), among others.
This year the “Halloween con sentido” campaign was carried out, which was born with the purpose of making a change, and dedicating this celebration not to the employees of DCV but to others, since every year the Halloween party was celebrated just like any other. However, for this year (2019) we wanted to do travesuras something different, an activity where the protagonists were not the employees of the Company, but the children of the “Los Pintanitos” kindergarten. Since 1993, the “Los Pintanitos” kindergarten, located in the district of La Pintana, has been serving poor children of the El Castillo community. Currently, this kindergarten welcomes 56 children from vulnerable families in a population that has been intervened, and that due to its level of danger has been named “The Swamp”. This year the tricks and treats were for the children.
