A 2-DAY EVENT TOOK PLACE FOR THE SENIOR
MANAGEMENT OF THE ORGANIZATIONS THAT
ARE MEMBERS OF THE ACSDA

More than 30 people that represented the ACSDA - Americas’ Central Securities Depositories Association and special guests such as Euroclear, Nasdaq, Swift, Citibank, Amazon and IBM participated in the meeting that was held on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd November in Miami Florida.

On behalf of the Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) attended Javier Jara Traub, member of ACSDA’s executive committee and commercial and new business manager of DCV, who also participated by presenting on the first day. “It was interesting to share the vision of DCV Chile with regards to the constant search to provide new services and products to our participants and sharing our innovation strategy,” explained Jara.

The senior Leadership Summit is an event organized by the ACSDA every year with the purpose of addressing issues of great relevance to Securities Depositories in America and promoting interaction, exchange of experiences, networking and building relationships between the delegates present. The presentations of the experts represent an opportunity for discussion on the most relevant points. Some of the countries invited to the event were Peru, Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Among the issues that were addressed in this 2019 version were the challenges and perspectives for financial market infrastructure, collaboration and liaison between the world’s depositories, the diversification of services and products offered by the Securities Depositories, trends/industry problems, regulatory demands in different regions, cybersecurity and cyber resilience, technological change and how it affects securities depositories (DLT, AI, robotics, cloud, central systems), among others.
