DCV executives, Fernando Yáñez and Javier Jara, participated in the annual Americas Securities Leadership Forum 2018 event, organized by Citibank for its clients, where the main economic leaders of America met to address the financial market’s current challenges.

In a constantly changing market, we face economic variables as diverse as variable commodity prices, changing investment patterns, versatile growth rates and constant currency fluctuations. This environment can be anything but simple. Nonetheless, the commitment of the participants of the securities market with reliable trading versátiles and investment strategies are key to face it.

The 12th annual ASLF 2018 leadership forum, hosted by Citibank, held between March 12th and 14th in St. Petersburg, Florida, addressed these and other factors to make long term progress in the Americas, and the manner in which custodians, depositories, regulators, investors and other key actors must prevail upon major capital flows in a growing wave of security risks and innovation streams.

Fernando Yáñez, General Manager of DCV, and Javier Jara, Manager of Commercial and Legal Affairs, participated in the event on behalf of Depósito Central de Valores de Chile. The executives actively participated in the Expert Tracks panel, where they presented the technological projects and changes that are currently taking place in the country and how they impact the Chilean market.

Each year, the participants of the Americas Securities Leadership Forum have direct access to local markets, in order to find collaborative solutions that ultimately help to successfully face the challenges in the securities market infrastructure.
