In the context of its DCV Educa program, Depósito Central de Valores welcomed Law students who, as part of their course of Business Law, are interested in learning more about the financial market.

Javier Jara, Commercial and Legal Affairs Manager, was in charge of the lecture, which had a special emphasis on DCV’s legal context and its role as an essential part of the Chilean financial system.

Some of the subjects addressed in the lecture included the origin of securities depositories around the world, the evolution of their functions, their services, and the structure of the Chilean capital market, and the role of its key players.

He also took the opportunity to discuss other topics, such as the Law on Productivity and the changes it entails to DCV, the creation of the special pledge and its benefits for the market, among others.

DCV thanks the students and their professor, Mr. Mauricio Baquero, for their interest and the time they took to learn more about Depósito Central de Valores.
