Operational continuity is a strategic pillar of Depósito Central de Valores (DCV), to ensure availability of critical services and compliance with regulations. This is why proper business continuity management is essential. With this in mind, we developed a rigorous plan of work that allowed us to obtain the BS2599 certifications in 2013, and the ISO 22301 in 2014, with its re-certifications valid until 2019. Continuity issues are part of DCV’s culture, in order to provide risk management guidelines, roles and responsibilities, recover critical services and protect people. Major incidents require people that are able to control and stabilize the situation in the shortest time possible, which is why DCV has a Business Continuity and Information Security Division, an incident manager role and an emergency operational committee in charge of the centralized coordination of recovery efforts upon disasters or crises, and 4 operational sub committees in charge of people, strategic communications, technology and facilities, among others. Committed to the Securities Market
Certification and re-certification In its aim to ensure availability of critical processes, DCV undertakes to comply with the best international practices for securities market companies and of mission critical, working under ISO 22301 standard. An audit process is conducted each year, aimed at verifying proper compliance with the requirements of business continuity processes and validate the ISO certification granted by the British Standards Institution (BSI) in 2014. DCV has consistently passed the annual revision process through its Business Continuity and Information Security area. The Business Continuity and Information Security division is working on an information security management system, in order to earn the ISO 27001 certification, which will complement the scope of the current certification.
