Aimed at confronting commercial, technological and capital market challenges of an increasingly globalized world, the board and executives of Depósito Central de Valores analyzed and reviewed the guidelines for the Company’s strategic plan for 2017-2020.

Additionally, including the concept of Research and Development (R+D) within the Company’s business areas was suggested. It is a relevant aspect currently, given the technological advance in recent years.

The strategic plan also considers that new opportunities arising from the Government’s recently approved Productivity Law will also become a relevant aspect during this phase, as to the possibility to include new initiatives aimed at diversifying the current lines of business, but always related to DCV’s function.

Regarding the lines of business, DCV has redefined them, by including the Company’s long-term vision,,and there are currently 6 lines, namely:

To carry out the plan, the strategic foundations of the Company were reviewed, reaching the determination that they will remain the same as those that have already been defined:


Operational Continuity; Risk Management, Service Quality; Technological Development; Efficiency; Product/Business Development.

This must also be aligned with key aspects such as:

Development of a technological infrastructure ensuring operational continuity and information security to the market, also aligned with the compliance with best practices.

Maintaining a risk management culture within the Company.

Having first class human resources in order to promote the Company’s future development.

Developing value-added products and services in joint efforts with the market, and benefiting from the close relationship with clients.

Achieving a profitability supporting the Company’s development and remunerating its shareholders.

Developing a culture of competitiveness and efficiency within the Company as to the offer of services and products to the market.

Including international standards and recommendations aligned with the regulator.

In its strategic plan, DCV had decided to maintain the values supporting its activity for the next period: ethics; excellence; responsibility; commitment and respect.
