The Global Association of National Numbering Agencies for the financial industry (ANNA), with presence in over 120 countries, recently announced the details of the formation of the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), a platform that will provide OTC (over the counter) derivative related services, including the association of referential identification codes.

This solution is the development of a new database to meet the needs of the participants of the OTC derivative market and the regulators, providing a unique identifying code to these financial products through the allocation of an ISIN (International Securities Identification Number). This ISIN is globally recognized and adopts the ISO standards for the identification of financial instruments.

DSB will provide an automatic real-time platform that, according to Girihar Manepalli, Director of the Corporation for National Research Initiatives, will be scalable, secure and will have uniform access to the ISIN references, even when the storage technologies change.

Currently, DCV assigns ISIN and CFI automatically to all new issuances of the Central Bank and the General Treasury of the Republic, in addition to stock corporation bonds, shares and investment funds installments, and at the request of the market for the rest of the instruments deposited with DCV. This information is recorded in the database managed by ANNA through the ASB (ANNA Service Bureau) web platform.
