This is the second time this event has taken place in Buenos Aires, which had been previously held in March 2004.

The event lasted three days, during which a workshop for members only took place in the morning of Monday the 16th.

uring the Assembly, which began on Monday afternoon, members gathered to evaluate the Association’s activities, including the previous year review, and plans and priorities for the coming period.

In the Assembly, the attendees participated in a range of lectures, which this year included transparency in the operation chain and securities custody, cyber safety, the new “blockchain” concept and implications for deposits, Swift updating, deposit capitalization, new industry trends and services for depositories, among other topics.

DCV participated with a delegation comprised of Fernando Yáñez, General Manager; Sandra Valenzuela, Personnel Management Director; Jaime Henríquez, Development and Maintenance Asst. Manager; Isabel Fernández, Business Projects Asst. Manager, who took part in one of the presentations of Tuesday 17, and where she showed, in general, all the DCV projects in file and, in detail, the service of the Pledges Electronic Registry released in 2015.

ACSDA (Americas´ Central Securities Depositories Association) is a non-profit organization formed by Securities Depositories and Clearing Corporations in the Americas, with central office in Lima, Peru.

Its set up was agreed in the first General Assembly held in the city of Lima, Peru, on August 10, 1999.

It aims to be an opportunity where information and experiences may be shared in an atmosphere of mutual cooperation among its members, develop work and promote recommendations on best practices in services such as securities deposits, compensation, settlement, efficiency and risk management, and also help to adjust the securities market regulations, considering each one´s features and help as a worldwide communication channel with other organizations.
