As is the tradition, in March DCV holds its annual party to celebrate yet another year operating in the market. A night to celebrate and show the pride of working in a company that values and appreciates its employees.

On this occasion, the invitation consisted of doing something different and going back to the basics: a “sintacosnicorbata” (no heels, no ties) party, returning to what is natural, though without giving up fun and surprise. An event that matches a year we have called the “year of efficiency”.

“If 2015 was the “year of security” and we devoted to strengthening the areas related to the Security of Information, Compliance and Corporate Ethics, it is appropriate that this year we devote to generating efficiency in our work”, said Fernando Yáñez, General Manager. Efficiency, but without neglecting all the other attributes that characterize this company, prompting all staff to remain focused on the achievement of the corporate objectives and goals. 

It was a celebration that surprised as it does every year. On Friday 18 at 17:30, each group left their offices in Apoquindo and Huérfanos in an orderly manner, which was a unique experience, as before the celebration had always been at nighttime.  When approaching the buses to the events center, a beautiful sunset along with a cocktail and live music gave rise to the anniversary party.  This celebration is widely expected by everyone at DCV because it allows sharing without ranks with everyone comprising this company, and see faces that on a day-to-day basis are only heard on the phone, as a significant group of employees work in different buildings.

About DCV:

Dinner is also the special occasion to acknowledge the track record of employees who have been working 10, 15 and 20 years with DCV, and who are awarded for their commitment and dedication. It is also the time to single out and thank those who retire after completing their time in the company. On this occasion, four people who after more than 20 years with the company, are retiring: Mario Soto and Rómulo Parra in their role as Guards, in addition to Juan Parra and Víctor Pinochet, who performed the role of custodians in DCV vault since its beginning.

Fernando Yáñez also highlighted the importance of the people in making this company what it is today: “This company is what it is thanks to you, who are the people who work in it. A company is like a ship, and I have had the honor of being the captain and holding the rudder, but without the excellent crew accompanying me, the journey would not be the same”, he emphasized.

For 2016 the invitation is to work with enthusiasm and dedication, because this year it is forbidden not to smile at problems, not to fight for what you want and not to make your dreams come true. Happy Anniversary!!
