Depósito Central de Valores reports that on 15 March 2012, the Santiago Stock Exchange cancelled the registration of “Empresas Emel S.A.” in an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting of Empresas Emel S.A. (EMEL) held on September 28, 2011, where the merger by incorporation of Empresas Emel S.A. in Transnet S.A. (TRANSNET) was agreed and approved. The board of Transnet S.A. agreed to fix March 15, 2012 as the date for the trading of Transnet S.A.’s new shares.
According to the provisions set forth in DCV’s Internal Regulation (Number 6.1.3), Depositors who hold a position of shares issued by “Empresas EMEL S.A.” shall withdraw those securities from DCV within 30 days from the present communication.
