Three OMGEO executives were at DCV from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 March.
OMGEO is a DTCC subsidiary company that provides services intended for stock brokers who operate in international markets. The services start operating post trade but pre settlement, with the advantage of diminishing possible problems or errors in liquidation processes.
Without OMGEO, communications between the local stock broker and the foreign investor are performed through fax, telephone or email, which are not very safe mechanisms. With OMGEO this communications are performed through a safe and standard system, enhancing it, without errors that may make the negotiation unviable, incurring costs thereby. DCV and OMGEO are in the process of creating a commercial agreement (Joint venture) so that DCV becomes an incoming channel of stock brokers operations toward the OMGEO platform. In its current visit, the executives came to show all the possibilities of the service with the purpose of defining the project’s scope and the steps to follow and simultaneously train different areas in this tool.
