With the purpose of providing a services infrastructure with the highest levels of security and quality, Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) has released to the market the first stage the automation of the International Operations Registry, which until now was carried out through a physical form called FROI.

The interface developed includes the complete transactional module and will allow clients who use the international custody service to instruct their operations quickly, securely and regardless of the country where they are investing.

The Operations and Customer Service Assistant Manager, MirnaFernández, indicated that the main benefits of this service are: “the efficiency and speed in the registration of international operations; security, as modules work with double supervision and advanced electronic signature; flexibility, as to enter large volumes of operations (through a file) or individually through the graphic interface (web) and, finally; this stage contributes to control, since the system contains tools that allow for the review of the consistency of the operations entered, detecting errors before they are sent to DCV.”

“Fernandez added that “…many risk issues will disappear, main objective in this stage. This development is part of a larger project, almost like a new DCV, though for the international market.”

Training for service users

DCV is currently in the process of providing training to Participants of the service, which was reported through the electronic newsletters sent directly to their emails, in addition to being published in DCV’s web page. Participants may subscribe to any of the training sessions published.

“The Electronic FROI will coexist with the physical FROI until concluding the training process, the time the date on which it will be compulsory will be reported, due to the great advantages it brings.  This should be a 100% operational within approximately three months since we need to ensure that Participants have carried out their own internal development, adjusting to this new instruction modality and having being properly trained on the use of the new implementations available”, said the Operations and Customer Service Assistant Manager.

The training will be informed through the electronic newsletter. “On the other hand, clients require an adjustment time before eliminating the current form of instruction through the Physical FROI”, concluded Mirna Fernández.
