The listing of 60 new stocks was performed on March 21st 2013, and DCV shall have the custody of them, as it did in May 2012 when 16 stocks of the most traded North American companies in the New York Stock Exchange and in NASDAQ (Apple, Google, Wal-Mart, Microsoft, among others) were listed. This listing is performed thanks to the joint work carried out by DCV, Deutsche Securities Stockbrokers and the Santiago Stock Exchange. DCV General Manager, Fernando Yañez, pointed out that “it’s very positive for our market that the bid of foreign securities keeps increasing, bringing it closer to the potential Chilean customer”. Furthermore, Yañez, stated that “this is a way in which Chile shall keep growing as it has been doing so far, thus turning its market into one which is safe, interesting, and with proven stability features”. Likewise the General Manager pointed out that the way in which DCV relates to Deutsche is because “DCV holds an account with the bank abroad, therefore we have the custody over those securities abroad, and those positions are reflected in the local systems”. Deutsche Stockbrokers, acting as sponsor of the registry of these foreign securities, shall submit to the Chilean market the information related to the corporate rights and/or events corresponding to the securities listed in Chile that shall be informed by the corresponding securities issuers in their markets of origin, pursuant to dispositions set forth by SVS (Superintendence of Securities and Insurance). Furthermore,it shall revise and update the list of the sponsored securities and it might consider listing additional title securities according to the demand and the conditions of the Chilean market.
