Although official circular letter No. 700 is no longer mandatory, the subsequent Official Letter No. 12,968 of the Financial Market Commission clearly states that: “…it does not mean that the entities monitored by this Commission are no longer required to comply with the provisions of UN Resolutions 1,988 and 1,989 in those matters relating to them, which shall be determined by each of them”..
