The electronic registry and release of pledges has evidenced a significant and sustained growth, achieving a 76% overall growth for the period of July 2016 – February 2017, following the joint efforts of Depósito Central de Valores and the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions, regarding the use of the Electronic Pledge Registry Service (REP).

Only during last February 2017, alone, there was a 77% growth compared to January of the same year, which in terms of REP instructions implies 130 more registrations, the most significant historical growth for the service.

There already exist 46 depositors who, just like DCV and ABIF, understand that the Electronic Pledge is the future way to operate, as evidenced in the interview with Javier Jara, DCV’s Business and Legal Manager, in Valor Futuro TV.
