Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) reports that the Mining Collateral Custody Service is now available.

According to Law 20.551 issued in 2011, to guarantee the Chilean Government the full and timely compliance of the closing of mining worksites and facilities, mining companies shall pledge guarantees that ensure the performance of their obligations.  For further detail, please check the content of  Law 20.551.

The service allows the mining company to retain with DCV the instruments defined by that Law, in physical or electronic form.

DCV will generate the custody certificates that the mining companies are required by Sernageomin to comply with the collateral obligations required by the Law.
