DCV and the Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago have worked together to extend the custody process in foreign instruments that brokers can use as collateral for futures transactions, and short sale and securities lending, among other transactions.

With this measure, brokers will have greater opportunities and facilities for the delivery of collateral with foreign instruments granted as security, which will be deposited in the accounts of DCV in the U.S. or Europe in agreement with other security depositories.

Fernando Yáñez, CEO of DCV highlighted this benefit: “We believe that this alliance between DCV and the Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago is very beneficial to strengthen the international custody service DCV offers to its clients. It also allows us to reinforce and support the strategic initiatives of our clients, in this case the Bolsa de Comercio (Board of Trade), with the support provided by our alliances with other depositories”.
