About ANNA:

ANNA (Association of National Numbering Agency) is the international organization in charge of assigning unique identification codes to each new instrument issued worldwide. Its greatest achievement was the global adoption of a common standard to identify instruments, the ISIN (International Securities Identification Number) code according to ISO 6166 standard.

The financial market instruments of more than 120 countries are identified with ISIN. Regardless of where the instrument is issued, this code allows identifying, recognizing and trading it virtually, between buyers and sellers from anywhere in the world.

ANNA acts in different countries through different local agencies performing this task. In the case of Chile, Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) is in charge of this task.

DCV is a member of ANNA since October 26th, 2001 and is the official numbering agency for instruments in Chile. Twice a year, the association meets with its members in order to discuss industry issues such as: compliance, services, quality, international standards such as ISO, general guidelines for ISIN codes, etc.
