Meeting in Chile of the MILA Commercial Committee, with the participation of DCV

MILA: On-site Committee Agenda 2015

 

Four years after the implementation of the MILA market, the meeting of the MILA Management Committee was held in the Santiago Stock Exchange office on Monday June 15. It was attended by Javier Jara Traub, Commercial and Legal Affairs Manager of the DCV, and by Ana María Cáceres, Head of International Operations.

MILA is the first transnational market integration initiative without merger or overall corporate integration, through the use of technological tools and the adaptation and harmonization of the capital market and securities custody regulations in the four nations. As a market it managed to demonstrate that, based on the regulatory frameworks of each of its members, it was possible to achieve a project that would contribute with a new financial model for investors of the entire world.

 

TOTAL TRADING VOLUME OF MILA MARKETS

 

Trading volumes for markets that currently comprise MILA reached USD 20.646 billion during May. By percentage share during the month, the BMV represents 80.54% (USD 16.628 billion), followed by BCS with 11.29% (USD 2.330 billion), then BVC with 7.43% (USD 1.534 billion), and by BVL with 0.74% (USD 154 million).
