The Chilean Association of Mutual Fund Administrators (AAFM) considered it was essential to acknowledge the excellence and quality of journalistic work within the financial field, in relation to savings, investment and particularly, the mutual fund industry, creating a space wherein a qualified panel of judges formed by seven members integrating or related to the financial, academic and national life scope, give their verdict to award the journalist with outstanding performance in this field.

Today we are launching the first version of “The AAFM Award – To Chilean Economic and Financial Journalism”, in which we have received the support of well-known personalities who are members of the panel of judges, as well as of Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) and the Interamerican Association of Economic and Financial Journalists (Aipef Chile), all key actors in this important initiative. We invite journalists to participate in this initiative, thus hoping to contribute with encouraging outstanding economic and financial journalism in a field that people not always consider simple.
