The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire full ownership of OMGEO, obtaining the remaining 50% that belonged to Thomson Reuters.
DTCC and Thomson Reuters were OMGEO’s equal owners as well as strategic partners since OMGEO was established in 2001, during those years they worked jointly on the growth and expansion of OMGEO, offering post-trade support, providing a central solution for transaction matching and payment instructions.
Under this agreement OMGEO shall become a wholly owned subsidiary of DTCC.
