Dear Participant

Depósito Central de Valores informs its participants that Empresas La Polar S.A., informed through a letter sent to the Santiago Stock Exchange, that it shall change the mnemonic code La Polar, which identifies its shares in the Stock Exchange, replacing it by NUEVAPOLAR. Such modification shall be in effect as of next Monday, October 29th 2012.

In accordance with the above mentioned, as from today October 29th 2012, LA POLAR shares are in full force and effect in DCV under the new stock-exchange code NUEVAPOLAR.
