Regarding the processing of operations with availability letter

Dear depositors,

The Depósito Central de Valores (DCV), in its constant search to strengthen the security and integrity of the operations that are carried out by DCV Registros (on behalf of the issuers of shares and quotas, whose records are managed by that affiliate), informs the following:

  • The liability letters presented by stock brokers are recognized by the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF), in accordance with the official letters issued by it.
  • Despite the aforementioned acknowledgment, said letters do not exempt the issuer’s final liability while carrying out operations that do not comply with all of the identification and validation protocols of the shareholders that participate in a transaction.
  • Thus, we inform that in those cases in which the controls and protocols defined by DCV Registros with the issuers where it is not possible to satisfactorily validate them, both the liability letter presented by the stockbrokers, as well as the remaining background shall be made available to the issuer for its review and possible authorization.

We appreciate considering this information and the time that is needed to carry out the transfers and we reiterate that DCV Registros, through its operations area, will make the information and status of the same available to you in the shortest possible time.
