The shareholders' meeting of the Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) met today and appointed Guillermo Tagle Q. as director, who was later elected by the board of directors as President, replacing Sergio Baeza V., who led the institution for 28 years. In the same instance, María Eugenia Wagner B.
Tagle is a Business Engineer from the Univerrsidad Catolica and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Associate Professor of UC, president of Credicorp, vice president of the Capital Market Advisory Council of the Ministry of Finance, former president of ICARE, director of Inbest, and vice president of the UC Foundation of Economics, among others.
Wagner is a Commercial Engineer from the Catholic University and a Master's in Economics from the same university. She served as Undersecretary of Finance for President Ricardo Lagos during his entire administration. She was director of Corporate Affairs at MetLife Chile and is currently director of AFP Provida. She previously served as director of AFP Cuprum, she was president of Salmon Chile and general manager of Acción RSE.
In this way, the board of directors was also made up of Juan Andrés Camus C., Jorge Claude B., Mario Gómez D., José Antonio Martínez Z., Fred Meller S., Cristian Rodríguez A., Arturo Concha U. and Jaime Munita V ., who was elected vice president of the company.
In the same instance and, as previously announced, Fernando Yáñez G. submitted his resignation as general manager, a position in which he served for 28 years.
In his replacement, Rodrigo Roblero A., current IT planning and finance manager, will take over as of Wednesday, March 31.
The board thanked the management of both Baeza and Yáñez, who were key in the conception, development and projection of DCV, which has become an essential entity within the Chilean securities market.
