Circular No. 382 “Cross-border Custody and Settlement. August 18: Start of the Liquidity Self-Return Process”

13 OF AUGUST, 2026 | 15

Reading time: 2 minutes

Dear participants,

DCV reiterates the information provided in previous bulletins dated May 26, July 21, and July 28. Effective August 18, 2026, the self-management feature for liquidity returns in DCV Evolución (DCVe), available to International Custody Service clients, will be mandatory.

Don’t forget:

  • Citibank conducts special reviews of outbound transactions for amounts of USD $19,999,999 or more. Therefore, it is not recommended to make large outbound transactions close to closing time, as the review may take longer or the custodian may conduct the review the following day.
  • Since this functionality is available in DCVe, and the funds are owned by each depositor or by third parties they represent, the DCV does not plan to resume processing fund returns.
  • Customers whose correspondent bank or intermediary charges fees for processing transfers—approximately USD $30 per transfer—must set aside the necessary funds in the “Cash Balances – CI” account to avoid overdrafts, for which custodians charge a fee.
  • Customers should be aware of any changes custodians make to closing times; the DCV will provide this information by sending a notice prior to the change.
  • Liquidity returns may be processed on holidays in Chile when those holidays coincide with business days for international custodians. To arrange this, the client must notify [email protected] via email by 3:00 p.m. on the business day prior to the holiday on which they need to process the transaction.
