29 OF JUNE, 2012 | 26

Reading time: 2 minutes

Dear
PARTICIPANT

DCV announces that as of July 3rd 2012 the new service of Position Certificates in an Electronic format is available to depositors, which are signed with advanced electronic signature.

As of this date, the field-test process which took place between the 15th and the 29th of June concludes.

The operations and functional conditions of this service are described in its Operations Guide, which is in included with this circular letter

Certificates issued with advanced electronic signature hold the following benefits:

  • Content authentication; it is feasible to identify any amendment performed on the document, subsequent to the signature process, thus granting a guarantee that its content has not been modified.
  • Signatory/Signatories identification; It is guaranteed that the signatory/signatories is/are those who he/they claim to be, therefore identity fraud is avoided.
  • None disown; as the signatory/signatories guarantees/guarantee that they are who they claim to be, none of them can disclaim to have undersigned the document, therefore granting reliability to the signed document.

In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the implemented solution means significant time savings for Depositors as these certificates shall be submitted to the web boxes on the same date that the application is recorded.

Sin otro particular, saludamos atentamente a usted,

DEPÓSITO CENTRAL DE VALORES S.A.,
DEPÓSITO DE VALORES.
