Circular N° 378 “Cross-Border Custody Service – Initiating SWIFT messaging with Citibank.”

Dear Participants,

DCV notifies you that, effective October 27, 2025, it will commence the transmission of securities settlement instructions via SWIFT ISO 15022 messaging for the global custodian Citibank.

This project showcases our dedication to operational efficiency and the implementation of international communication standards. Our goal is to enhance processing times for operations, both internationally and locally (known as mirror movement), while also minimizing operational risks. By eliminating manual tasks and transitioning to a Straight Through Processing (STP) system, we aim to streamline our operations significantly.

To implement this automation, a change in the configuration of the currently registered counterparties in DCVe is required. This task will be handled internally by DCV. Depositors will need to review and validate the data on their end. DCV will consider the registered data compliant if it does not receive any communication of disagreement within 5 working days after October 27, 2025.

For your reference, we are providing an example of the changes you will see, along with an update to the Cross-Border Custody Service Operation Guide. Specifically, please refer to point 2.3.18, which discusses the settlement process for foreign stock exchanges in CLP and USD.

Modification in the configuration of counterparties.
