On Monday July 8, 2019 the ACSDA Executive Committee held a full-day planning meeting in Miami. During the meeting, the Committee discussed ACSDA's current activities/priorities, financial status, as well ideas regarding future activities and initiatives.

Among the decisions that were taken during the meeting:

  • To hold a two-day Senior Leadership Summit (SLS) in Miami in October or November, focusing on topics such International links, Business Diversification, Industry Trends, Cybersecurity and resilience, Emerging Technologies (DLT, AI, Robotics, Cloud) among others. The Committee concluded that it was again timely to structure a program specifically oriented to senior management in our member CSDs.
  • To develop a Whitepaper in collaboration with Monique Moura of GCI including recommendations for Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) in the region. Target completion by November 2019.
  • To continue to actively pursue opportunities to collaborate with other industry associations in ways that benefit the ACSDA membership. We continue working closely with the World Forum of CSDs on a range of initiatives, and with FIAB to determine where we might collaborate more closely.
  • To establish a task force (Javier Jara, Martha Coronado and Bruce Butterill) to determine if any changes to ACSDA’s membership structure should be recommended to the General Assembly at this time.
  • Confirmed that the General Assembly for 2020 will be held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from the March 29th to April 1st 2020. The host will be CEVALDOM. Please mark the dates in your calendar.

The Executive Committee wishes to acknowledge and thank SWIFT who very generously again made the boardroom in their Miami office available for the meeting.
