In the Bocacielo restaurant and with a privileged view of Santiago, the Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) held its traditional meeting with operators and representatives of various institutions of the local financial market, thus closing its celebration of 25 years of history. More than 300 people attended the event, during which the General Manager of DCV, Fernando Yáñez, highlighted the principal milestones of the period and commented on the challenges for the coming years, marked by the agreement with Nasdaq to renew the company’s technology platform. This will allow the incorporation of the best international practices regarding the custody and securities settlement services, accessing new products and services, and thus, being prepared for the emergence of new technologies.
A large part of our organization is involved in the project. We have the track record and experience to make this transformation, but in this opportunity we need the support of all those who interact with us day to day (...) We believe that this is our humble but important contribution in converting Chile into a regional financial center, an objective that with everyone’s work we will be able to achieve”, he added.
This event is a long-awaited tradition for the market, an occasion that allows us to see in person all the operators with whom they communicate by telephone during the year. For this reason, there is a special effort on the company’s behalf to make this event unique and unforgettable. Thus, contests, prizes and a show that went through the DCV’s 25 years of history were performed. The event had music impersonations of great artists such as Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, among others, and was conducted by the TV host, Karla Constant, which was the crowning moment for a night where DCV celebrated its “silver wedding” together with the market.
