The Depósito Central de Valores celebrates 25 years of history as an important player in transforming the local capital market. In an interview held with the specialized magazine, Gerencia, our Finance, Planning and IT Manager, Rodrigo Roblero, reviewed the principal advances the sector has achieved from a digital transformation perspective: “Historically, the sector has pioneered in using digital technologies and, in that sense, the Chilean market is no exception. Today, the most important digital transformation processes at the country level are being addressed by the financial segment”.
Our executive, also commented on how the Company has reinforced its technological infrastructure in recent years, allowing it to deliver a stable and quality service to customers; and detailed one of the major projects that will be implemented in the next two years and which involves changing the “core” of DCV’s system, in collaboration with Nasdaq. “We needed a partner that would allow us to accelerate the securities market transformation processes, but at the same time allowing us to adopt new technologies, such as Blockchain”, noted Roblero. Finally, from his experience, he analyzed the main challenges that IT professionals are facing today, in a context where new trends are changing the way business is carried out.
