Information on the Statuses and Status Reasons of EUROCLEAR Transactions in DCV Evolution

Dear Participants,

As part of the improvements to the Cross-border Custody Service, DCV has implemented the “mirroring” of international transaction statuses in the Euroclear custodian, which is available in the transactions query module of the DCV Evolution Platform (DCVe).

From now on, depositor operators of the service will have access to review and obtain direct information on the status and status reasons of the settlement instructions during the intermediate process between their registration and settlement without having to request such information by email to the International Help Desk (InterMAC).

As an example, if a transaction has been registered and the counterparty has not registered its leg at the foreign custodian, DCVe will reflect this in the status reason; in this case, the code NMAT/CMIS (Not Matched, Counterparty Missing) will be displayed.


Also, by right-clicking on the transaction, you will be able to review all the external status history that we have received from Euroclear, where the last one received is displayed in the transactions query module.
 


The reasons for the statuses can be many; please see below a link that Swift provides with explanations of all possible scenarios of transactions pending settlement with their codes and descriptions.
