To be a provider of infrastructure for the custody, settlement and other complementary services for the local and international securities market, complying with the highest standards of security, availability, efficiency and quality.  This is how the Mission of Depósito Central de Valores (DCV) is defined, and to be able to carry out this pursuit, many are the areas of the company that are committed day to day to deliver top quality services to clients.

Since 2006, the company Adimark –with 38 years of experience and specialized in market and public opinion research- works in conjunction with DCV to measure the quality of the services.

The year 2014 was no exception. The measurement of the quality of DCV services was performed between the months of March and December last year by means of a study that permits the generation of periodic and timely information regarding users’ perceptions of the performance of DCV systems in a set of indicators.

This valuable information permits DCV to correct negative incidents and maintain the standards of excellence in the service.

Last year the measurement included changes regarding the previous years as the focus of the study was in detecting problems, proposing to enlarge the database of clients surveyed with an objective of 1,200 surveys per year.

The principal results indicate an average rating of 6.3 and an 86% of ratings ranging between 6 and 7. The number corresponds to the average rating between March and December on a scale between 1 and 7. The following table shows the summary:

When special attention is paid to the occurrence of problems and detecting what the difficulties are, more tools are being added to improve and therefore affect DCV’s overall assessment. The indicators are very sensitive to the presence of incidents that negatively affect the rates of response or the transitory interruption of services”, says Claudio Garín, DCV Operations and Services Manager.

Work is already underway in the new assessment guideline for 2015, and in defining the objectives of the study expected to begin as of next March.
